YourBio Health Adds Wendy Lane and Christine Heenan to Board of Directors

MEDFORD, Mass., March 18, 2025 – YourBio Health, a pioneer in blood collection technology, today announced the expansion of its Board of Directors with the addition of two esteemed executives: Wendy Lane, a highly experienced corporate director who previously served on the board of Lab Corp for 18 years; and Christine Heenan, Executive Partner, Executive Operations at Flagship Pioneering. The appointments coincide with recent leadership team appointments as the company embarks on a new phase of growth in the application of its TAP® device technology in clinical, diagnostic, and reference laboratory settings.

“Wendy’s extensive strategic, operational, and financial experience, coupled with her deep understanding of the friction points in blood collection, testing, and medical technology will be instrumental in advancing our mission,” said Ignacio Martinez, Chairman of YourBio and General Partner at Flagship Pioneering. “With Christine, we will benefit from her cross-disciplinary experience and perspective as we extend our relationships with regulators, policy makers, and industry partners to meaningfully improve patient care by making blood collection more accessible and convenient for all.”

Lane has more than 30 years of board experience overseeing strategic, operational, and financial changes in public and private companies, as well as extensive experience in health care products and services. She currently sits on the board of Masimo, which offers noninvasive patient monitoring products and analytics. Previously, she served on the board of directors of Realm IDX, which offered integrated diagnostics and imaging; LabCorp, WTW, a major insurance brokerage and advisory company; CoreLogic, a property data and analytics company; MSCI, a provider of financial indexes, index products, and portfolio management tools; and on the boards of nine other companies, some based internationally.

Lane remarked, “YourBio’s TAP® device technology opens up exciting possibilities to greatly improve patient and related family experiences by virtually eliminating pain and fear of blood draws—ideal for young patients or those who need frequent draws. With its seamless integration of the TAP device into existing patient care workflows, YourBio is positioned to make a transformative impact on the industry. I am eager to contribute my expertise to the leadership team as they pursue this promising phase of growth.”

Heenan has made a lasting impact in the worlds of government, academia, communications, and philanthropy. Her career includes serving as Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at Harvard University and as Senior Vice President for Global Policy & Advocacy at The Rockefeller Foundation. As a Senior Policy Analyst and speechwriter in the White House during the Clinton Administration, her main areas of focus were health care policy, women’s issues, and other areas of domestic policy. Today, she holds the position of Executive Partner at Flagship Pioneering, where she leads executive operations, advising the CEO and senior team on key strategic areas from operations to talent strategy to budget, and helps set leadership priorities and drive alignment throughout the organization.

“Medicine and healthcare delivery are transforming before our eyes, yet blood collection – essential to patient care – is largely stuck in old technology. By improving methods of blood collection, we can make big leaps forward in utilization rates of advanced therapies, for instance, improved adherence to routine

blood draws, and better patient care,” said Heenan. “It is my pleasure to join the YourBio board to help the company realize this valuable potential.”

Lane and Heenan join current board members including Martinez; YourBio Health President and CEO and Flagship Pioneering CEO-Partner, Paul Owen; founder and Managing Partner of Newpath Partners, Thomas Cahill; and Flagship Pioneering Senior Partner, Mark Stevenson.
